Home Security Experiences
I have been speaking with a lot of house owners recently about the security in their home. I am working to gain some insight on different ways that our homes become at risk. I asked each person I spoke with if they had ever witnessed suspicious activity on their property. A burglary, a broken window, a suspicious person – anything. Almost everyone had at least one story to tell me. Most of the stories would lead them to install a burglar alarm. I have heard that Delray Beach Home Security is one of the more reliable choices.
One man informed me that he was home for the afternoon, but then left to go pick his little boy up from soccer practice. When he and his son arrived back at home approximately 10 minutes later, one of his windows was shattered and several things were missing from inside. He seemed to think he had been watched, and that the burglar knew once he left the house. Another mother of 3 told me that she answered the door to a person who claimed to be a salesman. After he pitched his sale, he then asked if he could talk it over with her inside the house. She said no thanks, and he again replied by asking if he could at least come inside to use her phone. Considering this man was being persistent, she again declined and closed the door in his face.
All of us have had our encounters with shady situations and people. Some experiences are worse than others, like that of the first man. The information I am getting helps me determine what moves people to get a security system. The woman said she elected to get one the very next day.
I have learned about plenty of identical stories from other families. People never really know what will happen on a certain day. I am certain these people did not wake up that morning thinking something abnormal would happen that day. It really stresses the importance of always being proactive.
